Mothen is a 2D platforming game originally created as my senior project in the Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts major.
Mothen follows the story of a naïve adventurer, determined to bring light back to their world. They are not the first to embark on such a journey, and they may not be the last. "Follow the Path of the Brilliant Light, heed the words of fellow travelers, and cling tight to the dreams of those now turned to dust."
From initial concepts to final gallery exhibition, this project spanned the course of five months. During those months, I learned to use Godot Engine and its custom programming language, hand-illustrated concept art and every asset used in the final game, and worked with my classmates and UCSD faculty to plan and execute the annual ICAM Senior Project Exhibition at UCSD’s Kamil Gallery.
